Posted - 04/30/2004 : 23:28:10 Peralta? Peralta would be scaird to stand that close to me. It's Steve Olson.
Adams was a hair better than Hack and Olson. Alva on some days was. Olson and Hack skated CIRCLES around the rest of those venice hoodrats. I surfed better than all of them.
As far as puling hotties (normal males primary objective)we would throw parties and steal all the DT crews women (over and over again, every summer).
I'm hoping if the "Lords Of Dogtown" movie doesn't flop enough interest will be generated that someone might become interested in who really was skating pools and banks first. (it was nobody that lived south of wilshire, that's for sure!)

Posted - 04/24/2004 : 22:48:13 Oh No!!!!!! My perception of reality was just crushed. I thought I was hot chit. No pool too deep or hill too steep. BUT, check out this CRAZY guy. I can't believe he landed it. What would have happened if he didn't? Please tell me it's not real!

Posted - 04/23/2004 : 23:17:16 i was a skater. full fledged. and my first skateboard in fact had a skull on it, which i thought was pretty fucking cool at the time (no anti-skull sentiments here).
i skated in the 80's.. i was still in diapers during the whole Dogtown era, so i'm not as familiar with all those guys. my apologies. (i do live in Dogtown though. literally. Bicknell hill is just up the street)

Posted - 04/23/2004 : 22:59:07 Floop, I only steal women. The guy is beyond a noteworthy skater but that doesn't inpress me as much as his mastery of graphics. He make the absolute SICKEST skull graphics ever to grace a deck. He is to skateboards what I am to skull rings. Oh I forgot, people here don't like skulls. But, I swear, there was someone here who claimed they were a skater. They should know this guy. |
