No need to regret.
Just taking a gamble on why you favor this administration no matter what shit they pull.
You're siding with crooks Erubus. They definately don't give a shite about you.
I'm not Joe liberal by any means. I just want my country back.

Why do I think I'll end up regretting answering your earlier question? U.S. Army. No great achievements. Never left the U.S., and really hated most of my service time. The loss of freedom was almost unbearable. But I do genuinely respect the military, which I guess you assumed with your military service query.

Yes, I can confirm that Erebus does indeed have limited military experience. However, I received three papercuts so they let me go home.

Erebus, you seem like such a good lad. How can you really like Bush? Then again I know people in my real life much like you, and it's the same puzzlement. I think in the end we all want the best for everybody, we just see different ways of going about it.

It reminds me of the old saying:

"the pessismist says: things couldn't get any worse"
"the opitimist says: yes they could".

Well, it's not so much that I like Bush as it is that I don't trust the Dems and lefties with power. They abuse it and then fail to use it when it's truly necessary. So, I guess I prefer Bush for what he's not, a waffling Clintonista. No, I don't like Bush's connections to big money but I consider that the lesser of evils.

I always liked "A conservative is a liberal with experience." or, from Churchill, I think: "If a man is not a liberal at twenty, he has no heart. But if he's not a conservative at forty, he has no brain."

Thanks for thinking I have something to say but this thread didn't exactly seem dominated by logical argument. More like anti-Bush/right comments. So I was just trying to stay in the spirit of the thread. Anyway, I feel argued out.

I was surprised to read that Bush lost Pennsylvania in the 2000 elections. I was shocked considering the number of Bible-beaters in this state...but then again, there's Pittsburg and Philly.

Though I like living in Texas, it is annoying that Bush is the shoe-in winner for this state. Still I'll be voting against him.

It is encouraging that the national polls keep showing Bush and Kerry as just about dead even. Hopefully the debates will nudge Kerry ahead, but I still got a bad feeling about the whole thing.

Hehe..I don't think Clarkson is very complimentary towards Yanks. Saying that he's not very complimentary towards anyone.

Back to the topic - I suspect that the American election will be incredibly close again. It shouldn't be really but sadly I think Bush has got a fighting chance of getting in again. I swear that my 6 year old has greater powers of enunciation than Dubya.

Though if you're not going to be paying rent, I at least expect a different photoshop graphic in my newspaper every morning before I go to work and three on Saturdays. Sunday you may rest. :)

whats sad is that if the new bush book is right, Bush should be impeached for misappropiating funds from afganistan for iraq.. Its against the constitution and worst then getting a hummer

I want to be a singer like Lou Reed

Heading over to England, mate, but thanks for the info! Very well written article, though. Why should we even have to fucking think twice about our vote disappearing? It's so pathetic when you can't even fucking vote for your own president without it getting all fucked up, you know? What the FUCK is wrong with this planet?

What a scary little country you have down there. Incidently Jim, there are no houses available to rent in Canada, if you're looking.

Yeah, I think the election will get rigged again. I'm jumping ship and getting the fuck out of this country ASAP.
