Posted - 04/18/2004 : 10:52:43 I met him but he had stomach cramps so I think he was in a bad mood. Someone was talking about the whole guitar thing recently (i assume your friend), I think its about to happen or something. I don't play any instrument so I ignore that stuff. On the cool part he gave me guestlist passes to there gig the other week I didn't even have to ask he offered, cool guy.

Posted - 04/18/2004 : 10:44:28 I've been looking forward to the Black Cat show since Falco said they'd be playing there on the mclusky forum a few months back, it happens to be a few days after my birthday and that's very cool. By the by did anyone ever get him a tab program he mentioned he'd tab everything they've done eventually if he could get a good one, the guitar player in my band said he could get him a copy of the program he uses. On a completely different note Falco just seems like a pretty cool guy, he'd be cool to meet.

Posted - 04/17/2004 : 07:34:36 Im most certainly biased but I find it hard to see how anyone could see them as generic. I'd list some songs and shit but I've spoken to much about this. Anyone would think Im in the band.

Posted - 04/17/2004 : 03:45:05 i saw McLusky at All Tomorrows Parties a couple of weeks ago. and fuck me they were loud. but too loud - it hurt my ears. but they were rather good, and very rocking.
dunno if i'd buy their cd though....sounded kinda generic to me.

Posted - 04/15/2004 : 10:12:20 I'm going to wait for the album to drop to listen to the whole thing but I've heard Without MSG I Am Nothing, KKKitchens and the single That Man Will Not Hang and have enjoyed all of them. Can't wait for this release. Also of note my band has been doing a cover of "To Hell With Good Intentions" at most of our shows and it always gets a great reaction, it's kind of crazy that it seems there is starting to be quite a Mclusky following here on the Delmarva Penninsula.

Posted - 04/15/2004 : 08:25:26 Im listening to it right now. I spoke to the singer once about their so called ripping off of the pixies he said something along the lines of yes they are an influence but so are.....I personally don't hear it (the structures perhaps) the songs, not so much.
As for the album, its just downright great, different from do dallas but not neccessarily a bad thing. Favourite song: Falco vs the young canoeist (you'll know why when you hear it)
They are about to start a tour and I advise anyone who has any doubts to go and see them.
