I have been trying all night but it's impossible to get on the site or get throught to the phonelines.
And to think that the new restrictions were brought in to prevent this from happening.
Looks like I could be up all night. Anyone staying with me? Then again it's daytime for some of you anyway.

no, no... i was comparing V in Staffordshire with V in Chelmsford... not reading or leeds! i just said reading festival is bigger than leeds... so i'm assuming chelmsford V is bigger than Staffordshire V... but i was just speculating... i hated reading last year, full of young twats (hehe! i'm sounding my age!)... don't think i'll go again unless there's a really good lineup...

I'm getting a bit cheesed off with all the northern bashing now. It was kind of funny at first but now people are mentioning it a little too often for them to be joking.
Despite the northern remark, I completely agree with you Gracie.
Hey Bummble, I got a ticket for V, but it's the one in Staffordshire 'cos the Chelmsford one had sold out. How come you're going to the Chelmsford one? Is it a better site?
Oh well it was that or nothing. At least I get to see the Pixies again.

homer, going to chelmsford as it's where my girlfriend's parents live, so we're just going for the 1 day, and i think they're going too, so we get a lift there and back... plus they bought me my ticket! never been to a V before... but if Leeds/Reading is anything to go by, Chelms will be better/bigger...

Only a joke Homer, i freely admitt that there are as many southern pricks as there are northern pricks. It's the fact that they like Oasis that makes them pricks, and being surrounded by them for three days is too much to bare. Even the wonderfulness of PJ Harvey couldn't make it worth while. |

ah, for the new tour dates? my dad was promoting the support act or someone in his new band, or both, he saw him in edinburgh or glasgow, said it was amazing, but a little sad, seeing brian wilson there, pretending to play piano, reading the words off the screen, not really moving much...

What part of the north are you from Homers? You're from Manchester aren't you? I'm guilty of occasionally giving Northerners stick, but it is completely in jest. Really I don't think that people are serious, just a little banter amongst fellow countrymen (you get it in every country). 95% of my mates are northerners, and to be honest I find northerners far less pretentious than southern shandy drinking twites like myself (although I'm about as pretentious as a wank rag, and I haven't touched a shandy since I thought that I was a right hard bastard when I bought Shandy Bass in Safeway at the tender age of 12). In fact I am considering a return to the UK and will probably live up north, somewhere like Sheffield because thats where most of my mates are.
Fairplay though, if you get enough of it (even in jest) it can wind you up....
Going back to the festivals.... having T being the best line up is a welcome change I suppose... had I been in the Uk it would have given me an excuse to get off my backside and finally visit Scotland.

Posted - 04/07/2004 : 10:25:13 I really want to go to Glastonbury just for the experience but the line ups are always abit shite.I was tempted to go this year but i heard Oasis were playing and spening the weekend with a load of drunk northern pricks who like Oasis is my idea of hell is i decided to give it a miss.
Glastonbury must be good though as they never announce the full line up when the tickets go on sale and they sell out in about 10 minutes anyway.
Reading generally has the best line up and i've been there quite a few times but not this year. |

I'd say T in the Park has the superior line-up this year, it's so fucking distant though. Otherwise I'd be there in a shot.

All meant in jest my friend, apologies if it sounded strange... thats probably a result of too many glasses of red wine last night.
What is the line-up for Glastonbury? I am surprised that Pixies opted to play the V festival instead of the far superior Glastonbury. Ah just seen, Oasis, McCartney and Muse.... not a good line up, although the beauty of Glastonbury is that even if the music is not up to scratch then at least you can still have a great time. In 2000 I think I only saw about 5 or 6 bands all weekend, but the atmosphere was top notch and I had one of the best weekends of my life.
Whats Glastonbury like now compared to the good old days when you could just turn up and break in through the fence??
