hello everyone! long time no talk. i'm here working in shannon airport for two weeks on work experience, and at the minute i'm deleting stuff from floppy discs. fun fun fun! also in jessie news, my little covers band is goin to be playing our first gig this saturday! we've only ever had 4 practices, each about an hour and a half long so we're a little worried. and we're playing a rage against the machine song which i'm not happy about but i learned the damn thing anyway. i don't have anything else to write so heres the setlist:
Sleep now in the Fire(ratm)
Fortune faded(red hot chili peppers)
Gigantic
Cannonball(breeders)
Otherside(rhcp)
as you can see, i'm not exactly musical director. but hopefully after this we can write a few songs of our own and i'll veer them off in a slightly frank-ish direction...

I've never been through Shannon airport, being a Dub. I was out in Galway for a few days 2 weeks ago....been there a lot over the years, usually out in Spiddle. A friend lives down there+attends college.

Hey Jessie, 's been a while...
Sounds like a whole barrel of laughs formatting floppy disks, although possibly more stimulating than my job... Mmm, temping.
Hope it all goes well with the gig, I'm tempted to say you should adopt a slightly more dictatorial attitude in song choice though!
Have fun!

Yeah, if you want nice Irish scenery, the West coast is generally the best. I'd recommend a visit to the Aran Islands off the coast if you really want to get away from it all.

hmmm...cork is okay, but clare has the burren, and lots of green crap, and beaches! and...crappy country roads etc. fly to shannon airport!

Hey Jessie, I'm perhaps going to visit Ireland with my Mom this summer. My Mom's dream is to visit Ireland. She's never been there, and every time there's Ireland on TV, she sighs "oh I want to go there". So where should we go? Someone told me Cork was a nice destination.

but ireland was too beautiful to remain upset any longer than it took me to drink my pint of Bulmers.

shannon airport's near Galway isn't it?

Galway will always be the place were i was going to get to see Sigur Ros until they cancelled. so it will always be a bad place.
i was gutted.
