I got 10.8% which apparently means I have Geekish Tendencies.

I'm so proud.

Not really embracing it so much as providing an explanation to the phenomena. I still try to think I'm one of the cool kids.

But wouldn't Adnan be the "innocent" prostitute bystander who gets mowed over by the motorcycle? I think that's what he means.

Dressed like normal people? You mean apart from the bow tie and the glasses held together with sticky tape? And the trousers pulled up really high, and the Clarks Commando shoes with the compass in the heel?
You're fooling no-one, sonny.

31.16371% - Total Geek.

This is not fair. I study Finance. There were no Financial Mathematics related questions. How many geeks know the difference between the basic assumptions made by KMV, CreditMetrics and CreditRisk+? I'm not a computer geek. But I have read the theories of all the Economics Nobel Prizes of the last 30 years.

And I am against the affirmative action for girls in this test. If you give more points to the girls, then you should give me more points, because I'm French.

However, I must say that I'm a very discrete geek. Some people don't even know I'm a geek. I'm dressed like normal people. I even laugh at their jokes. I try to socialize.

they are their own unique forms of retardation.

17.357% - Geek... I would have thought I'd get more, whatever. I guess I'm not uncool enough for these people. I deserved a higher sore then that!! And they knew that so they screwed me. They screwed me over man. Life can't go on like this. Something's gotta give, I say we riot!!!

I'm not sure I'm really all that geeky. I'm a nerd, certainly, but I tend to see geeks are more technically minded than I am. Just because I spend practically all day staring at a computer screen doesn't mean I actually know anything about computers. (I DO have a minor in computer science, but I didn't do that well in most of my classes.)

A geek is someone who does things like biting the heads off live fish, etc.
cf. X-Files series 2

I looked up geek in the dictionary b/c I was curious how it is defined. Here's the damage:
1. a carnival performer billed as performing bizarre acts.
2. a peculiar or offensive person, esp. one who is overly intellectual.

Hmm, weird. I think they should be switched, although I think "offensive" is a bit strong for number 2. And I have never called a circus performer a "geek". Everyone knows they are freaks!

why is it that if you watch good movies, read, like sci-fi, and are interested in the world around you, you at least have Geekish Tendencies? maybe being a geek will save us all.

i can barely log onto this forum. so apparently it has nothing to do w/ computer skills.
