Posted - 03/03/2004 : 15:15:22 I'm getting into this FTP downloading and also bit torrenting.
But I am a tidy soul (when it comes to my music collection - my wife would disagree pretty much on everything else) and want my CDR's to be housed in nice neat artistically beautiful cases.
The Frank Black Reading Festival is accompanied by artwork on the FTP site but is there another source on the internet for live shows etc?
Like the Pixies WERS radio tracks - just burned them onto a cd. I'm sure I could conjour up some artwork but don't want to reinvent the wheel.
{Edit - just thought. Should this be in the trading section of the forum?? If yes then I bow before our wonderful moderators and beg their forgiveness for they are all powerful but kind omnipotent beings]

Posted - 03/05/2004 : 05:19:33 i do, indeed, have artwork available for a lot of shows - most of my own design. unfortunately, my website is down until later in the month, so there's no way to browse through the designs and figure out which ones you want. as always, the artwork on my (unavailable) website is *not* at hi-res - but i am always more than willing to e-mail hi-res versions directly to needy fans.
check in later in the month, say after the 20th, and my site should be back up for browsing.
mun chien andalusia has a bunch of my hi-res designs - you might want to check his site as well.

Posted - 03/05/2004 : 01:37:55 Mun chien.. I was looking at your site a couple of weeks ago. Noticed you'd been doing some early spring cleaning.
I haven't downloaded many shows yet, just:
Pixies - Seattle 17-12-91 (from Sharing the groove) Pixies - WERS Radio Frank Black - Reading festival 1994. Got the artwork off the ftp site Frank Black - Shepherds Bush 2003 (from hearitagain.com)
Aiming to downlaod a few more as well as some PJ Harvey shows.
I'm actually part way through making a cover for the seattle show. I'll send you the final result if I can manage to finish it.
Cheers

Posted - 03/03/2004 : 15:45:24 I think the Big Galoof has artwork publicly available for a lot of the unofficial bootlegs, including some at the ftp site, I think. He likes to share his designs and so is quite approachable on this. |
