Right we will start with those who havent been yet. If your name is on the list and you wish to be removed or don't reply to this within a couple of days I'll remove. Any new applicants, read up on the rules and you also have a couple of days to do so. Those who have had a go will remain on the list so everyone can download their songs if they wish. Who knows maybe it will go round again.
I must point out, I also now own the evergreen CD. How good is Coyote! It was reviewed by pitchfork the other day. 7.4

Person who is at the top of the list suggests a song and a link to an mp3 that they like, whatever they like. Everyone on the list including those who have already gone should download it and tell us what they think.
The topics stay around for two or so days then we move on to the next person.
Please only state one song and don't suggest others by that band unless specifically asked later in the topic. Avoids confusion.

You know what Malax, I don't always have access to a computer, so I won't always be able to give my feedback to others songs. I don't think this whole Music Ring would be right for me, so I would like to take back my request to be added. Thanks.

heh, thanks for hearing me! i best comment and prove i did listen to a couple? well i downloaded a couple of the new pornographers songs, quite catchy, didn't grab me though. listened to the tricky song, didn't like that, not really my thang. checked the mike watt song, as i'm trying to check him out at the moment and awaiting a mate to do me a minidisc of his stuff, but didn't like the track suggested by crispy water and i already have the mclusky song. 
(now to start narrowing down my shortlist to the song i want to use)

but i downloaded a few tracks anyway from the original ring, i followed it but missed the sign up...
a question, what do you mean by 'legally' link? as some of the links didn't seem to be technically legal? i mean someone had ripped the song and uploaded it on at least one occasion?

Its likely that I will start a pre ring 1 for those newbies to download a select few/all of the old songs that people suggested. Say a minimum of 3 seems fair, I'd say.

I can put the gist of the rules here if ya want. If I made any mistakes please lemmee know. That way no one will have to search for them too hard.
Basically, whoever has a song mp3 that they would like to share, that they can legally link us to, then sign up, first-come, first-in-line. When everybody's on board, we start the next person's song. Everyone in the list is encouraged to give their feedback on the song or band or whatever. Obviously, we still have leftovers from the last go 'round, due to people forgettin' over the long holiday period. So, we'll need to finish up with that first.
