I'm boiling three eggs, right now.

I can't remember the last time I boiled an egg. It was probably in the 90s. Been getting more into omelettes of late.

I've eaten boiled eggs this century, just haven't actually boiled any that I can remember.

Where do you buy your eggs?

Always buy fresh organic free range eggs.

I really love hard boiled eggs. I never seem to be able to get them right though (I know, I know...how can you wrongly hard boil an egg, right?). I don't know if this is just me but food in general is better when someone else prepares it. Or maybe I'm just a terrible cook...

Actually, yes. That's it.

1. never boil tea
2. always let the tea infuse before adding the sugar

Unless tea works differently in the southern hemishpere..

i boil eggs all the time. especially on weekend mornings. mmm! they're my favourite eggs. i even had one just now.

it depends on the size of the eggs, of course, but i always boil them longer than three minutes, otherwise the egg white is still transparent, and too blubbery. for me, a soft boiled egg should have a runny yolk, but cooked egg white.
usually i boil my eggs for five and a half minutes.

it's educational

whoa, my grandma never...
Ah, who am I kidding? I have no idea how she grew up.
as far as tea, an Australian taught me how to make a proper cup.

you mean in a caravan?

also, you forgot to make a pot of tea

soft boiled eggs should be served in "egg cups", which are really shot glasses. the yolks are salt and peppered and eaten with cut strips of buttered toast and the caps and whites scooped with a tea spoon.

small pot of water
salt
two eggs
heat to a boil (make your toast)
3 minutes boiling
take a little time to remove and place in cups
chop off caps with steak knife
see beginning of post
enjoy!

special thanks to my Grandma, she grew up in Cavan a long time ago.

Yes I remember now, egg timers. I forgot you can't see inside boiled eggs. It's easier to make omelettes because you cook it from the inside out then.

It seems to be taking longer than 3 minutes this time. I suppose I must be a bit out of practise, or time is slowing down.
