feel like penne is kind of bullshit. surprised penne has stood the test of time in pasta history. it's fucking impossible to eat with a fork. and though it's hollow in the center, it doesn't really retain any sauce inside, which would theoretically be the idea.

i hate to be the one to say this but fuck penne. seriously

I don't like the shapes of Annie's Arthur Mac and Cheese. I wish my wife would stop buying these.

But I do love me some Penne with Pesto. YUM!!!

This is a battle I have won. We've had a box sitting in our cupboard for 5 years.

now you mention it, I don't like macaroni either

Not sure about whole grain pasta - I'd eat it, I think, but the rest of the family would revolt

Im a fan of the tricolor pasta, only because the colours represent the Italian flag and that reminds me of Italia 90 World Cup.

On another note, did the inventor of Macaroni, im assuming Mr Macaroni? Don Macaroni? Did he intend for it to be served in cheese sauce? (Or a pie if you live in Scotland) Having macaroni with anything but cheese sounds preposterous.

I remember having the same tricolor once and the green especially used to taste funny to me. Ever since then I just associate the other coloured pasta to be not to my liking. I'm not that keen on whole wheat pasta, either.

When I used to eat Pot Noodles, chicken and mushroom was my favourite, I always picked out the dry mushroom before I added the water. Every little piece I could find.

I've been eating these big shells recently.

The orange ones remind me of carrots and the green ones.....well....they're green.

Guess this makes me racist. Oh well.

i'm not really into colored pasta either but i do like fusilli. probably one of my favorite shapes actually. that and the spirally one. whatever it's called. now that one actually retains the sauce in its grooves. pretty brilliant design actually. unlike penne

I have to agree with my doppelganger. The little shells are too dense and sometimes the water gets trapped in them and just ruins the whole thing.

pasta shells are the literal scum of the earth - they mock prawns and mussels, it's an outrage. And then they get all slimy, like they have special dry slime impregnated which activates on cooking. They look a bit shit, and then, sometimes, they hide within each other, so you get some kind of triple shell thing going on. I think I'd like them better if they were bright blue though.

I've got to go with one of those shapes that never cooks properly...you know it's squishy or crunchy at the tips.

I'll pick rotelle, 'cause I'm so over Trivial Pursuit.
