Hi I've been a Pixies fan since getting Doolittle in 89. I thought it was just about the most brilliant and original album I'd ever heard and still do. I'm only recently getting into all the stuff FRank has done since.
Other acts I like are the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Kate Bush, R.E.M & The Cure.
See you around!

that's a valid fear you have there. but each album reveals its own unique strengths. but there will always be that Frank Black awesomeness. that's never lost.

Thanks everyone. Not been on as much as I intended as I've had to change computers 'cause the one I had had too small a screen and it was straining my eyes. I'd only had it 3 weeks and had bought it 'cause it was light and as I spend the virtual entirety of my life ladi on my bed with a laptop on my legs...A/w I've now got a Mac which I'd never seen in action before never mind knowing how they worked so I've had to get used to it. It's cool but the writing on web sites is a bit blurred. Oh well. Just remebered about you guys while listening to TOTY. I'm just getting to that point now where I've familiarized myself with the songs to the extent they're revealing themselves to be even better than they'd first seemed. To ans Jose Jones I've started with the eponymous debut and TOTY and have had a dabble into some of the others on spotify but as Cultoffrank has said I've got a lot of great muisc waiting for me...that's if I can talk myself out of the idea that nothing Frank has done post-Pixies could match up to TOTY. I'm just sooooooooo in love with it atm!

Hi thegolem and welcome to the ultimate in online musicians you like forum experience. I, like you, neglected to take much notice of Charles' solo career, until one day | was gifted a 2nd generation iPod nano. First thing I ever listened to it was all off the FrankBlack.net podcasts. I fondly remember walking through Heathhall forest while listening to Jet Black River for the first time and wondering why I had never before. therein lies a tale about the power of the airwaves. A fair few folk on here pwn you on limited edition box set, and sadly I am not one them. As someone who is a huge fan of FB's work I don't think I deserve to won one of those copies, because I didn't really like it that much if I am honest. You can't be expected to like everything by your favourite lead singer/song writer of all time though.

My favourite albums are Fast Man Raider man, Christmass, SVN FNGRS, Show me your tears, I don't know what other FBC albums Dog in the sand probably, Pistolero

skeleton man

then i got (from my brother for christmas. he was just as interested) teenager, catholics s/t and pistolero. good times. jesus.
