Posted - 10/16/2011 : 11:26:06 I never really considered R.E.M to be one of my favourite bands but I just checked my last.fm profile and they're 8th on my all time listens.
Considering Frank Black, Frank Black & The Catholics and Pixies make up the top 3 that's pretty impressive! I didn't realise I listened to them that much. I had a spell of listening to Monster pretty regulalry and Automatic For The People has always been a record that I still listen to a lot.

Posted - 09/25/2011 : 09:46:50 Was my favorite band for most of the nineties. It was the 80's stuff that really did it for me though. First three albums are pure understated magic. Don't know about a publicity stunt though, but yes there will be a reunion, hopefully with Bill Berry on board.

They'll re-unite in 5 years and tour the world off the back off a new album and make millions. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a publicity stunt.
I remember seeing Ozzy on his final goodbye tour 20 years ago. |
