do you think its down to the direction FB/BF etc has gone down? At the time of the Catholics and Pixies reunion, that was when this site was last really "busy" - for the Honeycomb and Fast Man / Raiderman, it seemed there was a lot of "discussion" about the direction.

discuss :)

Found? Or founded..

It's hardly jumping with life this place but there is enough to talk/report about. Between BF and all the people he has made/is making music with there is ALWAYS an album or a tour in the pipeline somewhere. I like to check here from time to time, it's one of the better organised forums that I am a member of.

Plus, at least for me, i was 20 when i found this site. I'm turning 29 soon. I was in college, i'm married now. I don't know if we're attracting the younger fans, or if we're just one big aging train.

I think a big part of it is that people are getting the community aspect of the site through social network sites rather than traditional websites like ours. They can't provide the archival database of lyrics, songs, guitar tabs, downloads, projects, and so on, but the forum partly suffers because where this used to be the place to come for FB news (which was rare and always exciting) now you can follow on Twitter, Facebook, go to BF.net, or even read about him (!!) in mainstream media. I don't think it makes the forum irrelevant, it's still nice to have a place where you know you can foster SOME discussion on whatever FB-related topic you may want to discuss not to mention with people you 'know' or have gotten to know through their posts. The social networking discussion is, at least for now, a very short-lived phenomenon of comments on brief one-liners and disappears very quickly compared to the persistence of some topics we've covered.

The question is how to keep everyone involved, I guess, and I'm open to suggestions.
