midlake though. man... i tried. i tried. just... depressingly disappointing.

I dunno I'll give it another whirl sometime. I don't like the title track anyway, it's just lame. I'd expect that kind of thing from the scissor sisters.
Midlake.... I don't got the first ep, too much other music out there to give it any more than 5 or 6 listens. |

Me too, it's so bad, it's actually good. Not top 10-good, but I'm interested again. I'll take this over her fake Avril Lavigne-fluff any day.

Posted - 12/17/2010 : 04:39:15 Can only think of top 7 guys, i'm blaming the crippling recession for stunting my music. Obviously completely an excuse as i downloaded the ret!! Not the golem though, hell no. Same recession possibly inpires me to include heligoland which is pretty dark and dirty. But i like it for those reasons.
In no particular order
FB - Golem - very relevant Bill!! although possibly a 2009er?? Arcade Fire - The Suburbs Gorillaz - Plastic Beach Massive Attack - Heligoland Drive by Truckers - The Big to do The Fall - Your Future Our Clutter Villager - becoming a jackal
By the way thanks for NSE comment Denis - i nearly laughed my tea through my nose.
