Posted - 02/03/2010 : 16:45:09 I'm kind of obsessed with 4AD/v23 record sleeves: Belly, Breeders, Pixies, Frank Black so I started a blog dedicated to showing some of the ones you may not have seen before.
Last month and this month I'm doing a spotlight on Bossanova and I'm gonna do Trompe Le Monde later this week.
If you're interested in that kind of thing you might want to check it out.
(Did I put this in the right forum catagory? Feel free to move it.)

Posted - 07/17/2010 : 19:12:58 I have a question about Blogspot:
sometimes I'll post something and then later someone will read it and leave a comment. Sometimes it's a normal comment but other times it shows up as a bunch of boxes- does anyone know why that happens?

Posted - 06/21/2010 : 04:41:15 Believe. It really is a cool poster.
Did you ever order a 4AD catalogue back in the mid 90's? I've been trying to find an image of one (green cover, recycled paper, roughly the size of an envelope)
I've been listening to Belly a lot recently, made me think of your blog. |

Posted - 04/08/2010 : 13:37:05 I found the coolest Frank black poster ever.
I'd never seen it before Tuesday night. I was looking for images for a post I did about The Breeders "Pod" and I saw it.
I still can't believe how cool it is. It's up at my blog now. Check it out.
(the reason I was looking for "pod" images: I found a blog called "the Daily Guru"- this guy wrote a review about a different "essential" album everyday last year and the few that I read were very badly written. I chose one- the "Pod" review- and re-wrote it; I dropped overused words- "truly" was used 10 times in five paragraphs, and "sparse" 4 times, and cut out some unneeded sentences.)

Posted - 04/01/2010 : 18:40:58 A few years ago, not long after "Eye's Wide Shut" came out, I think, I was looking on the internet and found a bunch of paintings by Stanley Kubrick's widow, Christiane Kubrick.
I hate most contemporary painting. It's all random dots and smears so it was great to see paintings that were actual paintings.
Anyway, for a long time I've been meaning to post some of them on my blog and today I did. If you get a chance check them out.

Posted - 03/19/2010 : 14:45:00 I just posted a shitload of FB record sleeves from 1993 and 1994: there's some "Hang On To Your Ego", a little "Los Angeles", and a lot of "Headache".
Some you've probably seen, but some you probably haven't.

Posted - 02/04/2010 : 00:57:55 Good work Jimmy - I've always liked the 4AD/v23 artwork so that's really interesting. |

Posted - 02/03/2010 : 20:19:20 By the way, there are a few things I'm looking for.
Back in 1994, a couple times I came really close to buying the "Speedy Marie" CD but I couldn't justify it since there weren't any real B-sides on it. I'm curious, though, about what the inside of the package looks like.
Also, I've got the Frank Black LP on tape but I've seen the CD booklet and I love the painting of the FB logo w/ mountains, plus the FB photos.
If anyone has any scans of them, please post them, thanks, jimmy
