What's on your shopping list?

Can anyone in Britain tell me if they have used a Cable Turtle,
if they are easily obtainable and how much large and small ones
cost?

They are impossible to find here, although they may possibly
have them at Rona in Toronto, and the ones you can order online
are expensive if they are not from Hong Kong on eBay.

This year I read Phaidon Design Classics and I knew after the
first couple of articles that it would be my gift catalogue for
the next few years.

Aluminum chairs, clipless staplers, lead pointers, scientific
instrument coffee makers...

Everything I've looked for from the book costs many times more
than I expect it should! Like the Uten.Silo, a most expensive
piece of plastic.
