I'd never heard of this band until I saw them on Jools Holland (behind the times no doubt). This song in particular really got me...

Since then I've got their album Veckatimest and can't stop playing it. Instant classic I think - anyone else share my enthusiasm?

Haven't bought any albums yet.
Just dig the song in that moment.
I guess I should see them live.

these guys are really growing on me. Grizzly Bear that is. got Yellow House and it's pretty awesome, however the production in Veckatamist is superb.

Have you made your Colorado trip yet? FB's in Denver in a couple weeks ...

Please pardon me, for these my wrongs.

that being said, it's not exactly driving music.

my friend just hooked me up with this new album, and i've had the first one on my computer for a long time and haven't really listened to it much yet. i'm really looking forward to spending some quality time with both of them.

Damn...this summer is killing me on concerts. Missed the Animal Collective concert by not paying attention. Now, just checked out this thread today, and if I had done it when posted could have seen them last Sunday, or Monday rather. Crap.

I'd rather be anywhere or doing anything

That's from their first album 'Yellow House'. It takes time to get into them too - some of their songs sound a bit drab and tuneless at first - but it's worth it. Also they do, occasionally, display a bit of grr...well, kind of.

Freak folk, I like that. About as threatening as an easy Sunday Park Slope vibe.

Little grrr.

I like everything about this, the pace especially. I can say that now having listened to it at least once a day since you first posted it.
