Posted - 06/01/2009 : 01:00:01 My one year deferrment is almost up. Think I'll apply for another one!
Anybody else up to their eyeballs in student loans? Am I going to be paying only the interest the rest of my life?

Posted - 10/09/2009 : 03:56:01 In Scotland, we pay no interest, or tuition fees. Also I didn't even take a loan, and am about to claim a bursary of around £200 a month when my mum goes to live with my dad in Abu Dhabi, also it's coming up to the time to claim travel expenses of £950 in December. It's a good time to be a Scottish student.

Posted - 07/22/2009 : 02:09:00 Thanks to my recent employment at Yu Wan Mei duty has compelled me to step it up and abandon my pasts lazy payment schedule. Under You Wan Mei's strict but noble guidance settlement of all debts is now happily upon the horizon.

Posted - 07/04/2009 : 05:39:42 I think my student loan is about £15000, I pay off between 70 - 100 a month from my pay packet (they take it automatically over here), there's no way it's ever going to be paid of with the interest... still got a flaming loan and a couple of cards to pay off from my uni days too, seems never ending! I'm not convinced my degree did much for me career wise either, so just got a few good/fun years to show for it! ;-)

Posted - 06/06/2009 : 06:59:27 I believe I have a debt of 20,000 euros and I graduated last month after 5+ years of college. Still the government paid for most of my education and my parents also chipped in a lot.

Posted - 06/01/2009 : 22:58:50 Kind of obscene that rich nations no longer subsidise higher education. I studied in the late 80s/early 90s, the last rounds of no fees and annual grants of about £2000 ($3300). Didn't realise how lucky I was.

Posted - 06/01/2009 : 21:51:50 mine is slowly going at $580 a month... it'll be gone in 9 months time, after which i'd have also paid more than 50% of my original loan amount in interest....

Posted - 06/01/2009 : 17:32:53 We've been paying several hundred a month for more than 10 years now -- and the end is still years away. I'm just thankful we didn't go to an expensive school (University of Wyoming).
Please pardon me, for these my wrongs. |

Posted - 06/01/2009 : 03:37:59 I'm still paying mine off - my father-in-law just paid off my wife's, which is awesome, but mine still suck. $215.93 a month. Sucks.
