Very nice Breeders/Pixiesish album by some cool indie chicks here. Vocals remind me of Kim Deal in places, and there a lot's effeminate bass lines.

Probably a few other indie bands they sound like, fuck knows Belly, Curve, Throwing Muses and all that.

Just remember, you heard it from pot.

i saw these guys a couple weeks ago. it wasn't as "rockin" as i'd would have liked, but it was still pretty good. this new album is highly enjoyable as well. the last song, "stadium love," really caught me off guard with how awesome it is.

Ahhh only the one indie rock chick, I guess the title "Fantasises" must have thrown me.

Interesting to learn they also come from Brooklyn, seems to be loads of great music coming out of there.

I've been listening to these guys since 2003 (by the way pot, there is only one girl in the band), but yeah, they are incredible. I haven't heard the new one yet, but it's on my list for the next record store trip. You should go back and listen to their album 'Old World Underground', it's really great.
