celebrate! i bought the following (on vinyl, natch):
deerhunter- microcastles/ weird era cont.
the handsome family - honey moon
the black kids - wizard of aahhs
i'm seeing the handsome family tonight in chicago. and deerhunter is my current obsession. have you seen this? have you heard about this? they're awesome! the song "microcastles" is the greatest tribute to "no aloha" ever.

I'm liking Microcastle pretty well...not my favorite thing yet, but very good. The record store guy told me he had it in his cd player in his car for the last 6 months.
There was a really cool record day celebration yesterday here in Dallas with 20 or so bands playing all day, but alas, I got stuck doing some other things and didn't have a chance to make it.
I'd rather be anywhere or doing anything |
