Posted - 03/15/2009 : 12:44:48 I finally caught up with this series, well almost, and I was about to rejoin the previous thread, when the site went down again.
I must say I am vell impressed with this series, I was expecting a series about a bunch of people who got stranded on a dessert island, and instead I got an action packed sci-fi adventure. It's totally far out!
I loved the series 4 finale, and can't wait to catch up with the next one. It's half way through showing on sky1 here, so I'll have to wait for the repeats or a DVD release.
I found it amazing how a jumbo jet load of passengers lands up on a dessert island, and despite all their efforts of contact the outside world, no-one seemed to have a mobile phone with them! (not taht it would have worked, but it would have been worth trying)
All these little flaws are what makes a show so great though.
I was really impressed as well when I learned that the whole thing is filmed on the island Oahu in Hawaii, I though it was just the island scenes. Great effects team, they had me fooled anyway.
*Please no season 5 spoilers.* |
