If i ever find the digital camera in the millions of boxes in my new place, i'll have to take a picture of Lola, our cockerspaniel. She was my wife's for 3 years before i became her stepdad. She's great (except when she wakes me up early to take her out and then refuses to do anything once we're outside except jump around and stare at things and bark at the local woodpeckers).

kfs, is your cat actually named kittycat? my cat is unofficially named kitty because when i adopted her the shelter had named her jeepers creepers, which i determined to be the stupidest name ever. it took me too long to think of a new one (lazy) and "kitty" just stuck. a bit embarassing when we go to the vets.

pickles had mitral valve dysplasia. i'd been treating it with medication since she was 9 months old and i'd been putting in crazy long work weeks to save up money for her to get a valve transplant in ohio, but she didn't make it. i was working in another state when she died so i'm having crazy dog guilt/grief. i guess it's a good thing when the most traumatic event in your entire life is a dog dying, right? someone gave me that puppy because i've been such a miserable bitch since she died :(
labs are fantastic, i could never own another breed.
