I just moved to Seattle a few weeks ago. My wife and I drove cross country from Providence, RI with our two best friends from Boston. We shared a big ass truck and drove it along with our little Tercel (which by the way, cost about $200 in gas to go 3000 miles - the truck was well over $1500). We're sharing a house in West Seattle.

I've got some pictures of the trip up here:

We're in the process of meeting new people and "making the scene" if you will. Anyone here live in Seattle?

Will I ever reach 1000?

I love it here. It's so much hipper than Boston which is primarily inhabited by college kids and old people. People dress more artistically, the coffee is unbelievable, the audiences at shows are more lively and excited, really good restaurants, etc. I should also save a lot of money since I'm self employed.

I haven't been through the rainy season yet, but the summer was near perfect. Low 70s, sunny, and low humidity nearly every day.

Visited Seattle for first time last weekend. I loved it, despite the 45 degree temperature difference from Dallas. My girlfriend and I were discussing moving there as well.

I bought a sandwich from that Beechers cheese place by the Pike Place Market that was amazing.

mmmmmmm wish I could have one right now and also try their "famous" mac & cheese.

I'd rather be anywhere or doing anything

That's a heck of a Mount Rushmore pic!
