Rugby WC QF Predictions Anyone?

1. England Vs Australia

Even though they are playing better rugby now, I can’t see England rolling over the Aussies.

The match will be played in Marseilles where the pitch is hard and the weather likely to be dry. If the game was staged further north or in Bordeaux with rain likely then maybe England would have a chance.

The only concern for Australia is that they have quite a few injured players and others coming back from injury.

Australia by 7 points

2. France Vs New Zealand

I can’t believe that the host nation has to play this game in Cardiff. If the game was to be played in Paris, then France to shade it, but now they will loose and pay the price for doing dodgy deals with other countries to secure the WC.

New Zealand by 10 points

3. South Africa Vs Fiji

Easy one – South Africa to win by at least 20 points

4. Scotland Vs Argentina

Argentina too good and will beat Scotland by at least 10 points

Anyone else want to make a prediction?

Well we were right Cass. Oh well, we did better than I expected.

Well it wasn't as unbalanced as I thought it would be... but SA were the best, indisputably.
But well done Brits, that was a good fight.

See ya in february for the tournament with fresh new teams.

yeah, SA's team is too strong for this England team. SA can't be beaten by the way England plays nowadays. Wilkinson, Robinson or Catt won't be enough.

I don't think we will be South Africa though. Beating us 36-0 earlier in the tournament will be a huge psychological advantage for them I think.

Still, it should be closer than that first meeting.

That's exactly what I was thinking too. That was a stupid strategy: it was obvious England would win with just one point of difference, 20 minutes left and Wilkinson in your team.

but what the hell... congratulations again...
That was really really stupid. But I guess the players were tired too.

It was a really crap game but exciting (if you know what I mean), especially the last 10 minutes.

Looks like your mom was playing with your rugby team. Both on and off the field.

Anyone brave enough to make a semi-final prediction?

How about these:

1. France Vs England

England to win by 6 points

2. Argentina Vs South Africa

South Africa to win by 9 points

two massive upsets this morning.
i enjoyed the first one, but not so much the second.

well done the french.
you made us play like we haven't played for years.....we had no game plan....you defended like madmen and took all your chances.
the ref and touch judges made some bad calls which in the end cost us dearly, but we just didn't play well enuf to win.

so after all the talk of southern hemisphere dominated semi's it couldn't be further away from that....
the scots will really think they've got a chance now...
and while i'd love the fijians to win, they really don't have a shit show.

but i can honestly say, that this country will be in mourning for a while....

all i can say, thank god for polio! brian

Nah, France wouldn't have won either if the game were in Paris. We're gonna get our ass kicked. I say NZ by 20 points at least. And I'm happy about it!

would have to agree with benji (expect I'd tip the Argies to roll over south africa)! Your man, Hernandez, was simply amazing against the Irish :( His up-and-under, catch and off-load was the best bit of skill in the tournament thus far.
