let's discuss.

anyone familiar with his work? music or art? i think he was the perfect balance to westie's folkieness, i mean 'car camping' (man i love that song) has a burp in it for pete's sake. let's hear it for chris mars.

yes he was in the 'mats. he sometimes sounds like one of the john's from TMBG when he sings, he has put out 4 solo albums (?). i especially like 75% less fat. his song subjects are fun sometimes, a balance to paul westerberg's tendency to the seriousness. on that first album he played all the instruments i believe. i think he was in golden smog also but i haven't got around to checking them out.

Wasn't he the drummer for The Replacements. Same Chris Mars you speak of? If so, I only know his work with the 'Mats.
