I've not got this one,and have not listened to any of the others in ages apart from 'Dreamtime' which still sounds pretty good. |

srisaket, i met ian twice back in the day for autographs and such, he was very nice, seemed kind of shy actually. that reminds me, i have a framed autographed "rebellious jukebox" (page out of melody maker) from ian astbury, it's signed "dear john, peace astbury" i could never display because he spelt my name wrong. :(
Is your name Jon?
There's a perfect explanation for the shit that I've been in. As soon as I find out, I'll let you know.
correct!

Posted - 07/28/2007 : 00:07:25 I take back what I said, I am sure he is a nice guy. However, he has done/said some silly things in the past. By the way I am a fan as well.
The Spinal Tap analogy is quite apt with all the problems they have had with drummers in the past - didn't Ian Astbury sack one once giving him a drum kit as his payoff? |

i quite enjoyed their last show i went to last march. they rocked out pretty hard playing old songs like judith, peace dog, and brother wolf, sister moon. ian and billy seemed to get along.

whenever i go to the track i always bet on number 7 in the 7th. it pays 50% of the time, figure the odds on that.

You hear the new Unkle tracks with Ian?

Posted - 07/27/2007 : 00:15:39 When I was said the infield at the Del Mar track was fun, I meant when the horses are racing. It's pretty impressive to stand near the rail and have those powerful animals run by. |

Posted - 07/26/2007 : 23:47:11 Well have fun if you're going.
The Cult were always a daft bunch and Ian Astbury is a proper pillock. In fairness they did write some good songs though. |

Posted - 07/26/2007 : 21:47:08 Even worse than this news was seeing them transform into an abomination of their former selves much the same way that lame band from "School of Rock" did. All for the almighty dollar. http://youtube.com/watch?v=l0JVf9rjOnQ

I use to live a block away from that track.
Is it as bad as it sounds, or do they have some good shows there?
At least there's no puppet show scheduled.
