Handling a tough situation in a typically British manner, I'd say. There was another picture on the news of people sitting on the tops of benches washing back beer with water all underneath. That's what I like to see.

Anyone particularly affected by all this flooding lark? I've had my fair share of wading, unfortunately.

Was Ian Anderson's home effected? You know, the guy from Jethro Tull?

I heard about this on public radio. I am glad to hear it sounds like all the forumites are ok.

Except for being typically rainy, Manchester has been fine thankfully. It's one thing for us to whinge about the amount of rain we have been getting, but at least we haven't had to put up with flooding.

That first picture actually looks really nice Tom.

Oh here it's been nothing ridiculous like Worcestershire. No home flooding or anything, or using boats, just a bit of wading through very large lakes around my town to get to work and whatnot. My work flooded, mind, after someone thought it might be a good idea to open a door that had water pouring through the bottom of. Turned out there was about four inches of water behind it.

My only loss is a pair of shoes, so I think I'm doing alright.

Same here really, in the NW there's been a lot of rain but luckily not many floods (that I know of at least). I can't imagine what some people must be going through now. Good luck getting things sorted.

Shee-it!! Watching Sky News this evening...looks pretty bad. Those pics say it all. We've been pretty lucky over here, we've had a ton of rain and generally thundery, humid weather, but we've not had and floods. Soory to hear you've been affected, mislead. Hope the situation gets under control soon.
