Not the Sex Pistols song but the exhibition. Has anybody here gone to see it? If so what did you think of it? Was it cool or creepy? Educational or eeeky? I saw it this morning and had to walk out.

I went to the Bodies exhibition in NY about 3 weeks ago and the foetuses showing the various stages of development were present, as was the pregnant women.

i remember that the most disturbing exhibit that we saw in london was of a pregnant women with a foetus still inside her. they had cut out a cross section from her stomach showing the foetus and stuff.
that was rather creepy.
there were also some foetus's of various ages stored in jars that were also absent the 2nd time.
but interestingly, both these were missing when i saw it the 2nd time....i wonder if they took out due to degradation or some other reason..

Really?! I find the song more disturbing than the exhibit.
From wikipedia on Bodies (the song):
The song was written by the entire band. It is mostly about a fan named Pauline, who was (as the song states) from Birmingham. She had been in a mental institution, where she had apparently gotten pregnant from one of the male nurses. When she was released, she travelled to London, where she became a punk rock fan. She had several abortions. According to legend, she showed up once at John Lydon's door wearing nothing but a clear plastic bag and holding an aborted foetus in a plastic bag as well.

i saw it london around the time benji went... tbh, i think i would appreciate it more now compared to back then. or maybe i did enjoy it, but i just can't remember much of it now. what a shame :(

What made you leave K was it something in specific or was it just a general "creepieness"? I haven't seen it because just seeing dead people freaks me out.

I saw it in 2004 when it came to Los Angeles. Based on benji's comment, I assume the bodies still had some of their lustre. Seeing the array of preserved lungs certainly made me glad I've never smoked.

i've seen it a couple times.
first time was in london when it first opened about 5 years ago.
and it was amazing.
it was truly unlike anyhting i'd ever seen before.
could not recommend it enuf.
most disturning comment came from mrs benji who said that looking at it made her hungry...
second time was in perth, australia around a year ago.
and it sucked.
lots of the exhibits had lost their vibrant colour and were falling apart.
showed that they were the exact same ones as i'd seen all those years earlier and they're just getting old.
if you haven't seen it before, so don't know what it was like, it'll be great, but i was hugely disappointed the 2nd time.

I haven't been able to get my son to go, therefore haven't gone: supposed to be really cool, although the lustre has worn off some of the bodies from when they were "new".
