It definitely wasn't AS good. Much better in fact.

I didn't think this looked good when I first heard about it, but you never know...

Oooh-wee-ooh killer tofu! Ee-ay-ee!

With the image of rats touching it in their heads?

"Aw yeah, that's the good stuff!"

I haven't seen it, but you make a good point. Still, I find with most of these digitally animated movies: most characters seen fairly anthropomorphic after watching them for an hour and a half on the big screen. I can't wait to see this though because I love food and cooking, even if a few rats are rooting about in it all the while.

Just to be safe, we went out to a nice restaurant before the movie. The rats-in-the-kitchen thing is a little hard to shake after watching it.

it's funny the impact movies may have on the public. "the fast and the furious" made kids want to street race, "sideways" made everyone hate merlot (not to mention a wine buff), and a movie where a RAT prepares food makes people want to eat.

I took my family to it last night. We went in with high expectations, after watching a 9-minute preview a couple weeks ago, and we weren't disappointed. It's an interesting twist on "Cyrano de Bergerac."

I'm definitely going to see this. The trailers look great. The teaser especially.
