Posted - 06/23/2007 : 08:25:32 Just got back home from spending a few days in London. I (along with the family) went there to see DEVO perform at the Royal Festival Hall. I'm happy to say that they were absolutely fantastic live. This was the first time that I'd seen them live and they didn't disappoint. I've been a fan of theirs since I was about 10 years old and I'm now 36. I never thought that I'd get the chance to see them perform live. I hope they come back next year. Fingers crossed.
Anyone else here go to the gig? If so what did you think?

Posted - 06/23/2007 : 23:47:41 Great live band - I tried like a girl at a wedding trying to catch the bouquet to get one of those hats, but no dice :(
I love how the guitarist has a stomp pedal duct taped to his guitar so he doesn't have to spend all that energy using his foot. He can just hit it with his fist and doesn't even have to walk over to his "pedal area". Pure genius!

Posted - 06/23/2007 : 18:05:04 I just got back from seeing them in Manchester, I have always liked them but never really loved them (my girlfriend is the bigger fan, and I kind of went the gig with her), but I thought they were really fantastic tonight. Certainly the best non-FB/Pixies gig I have been. They were so tight and energetic AND they threw one of their hats/energy domes into the crowd, and I was lucky enough to catch it
But anyway, they were fabulous, I am very glad I managed to go.
