Tim Taylor was killed in car accident, apparently driving home from the studio. He was 28 years old.
Brainiac was a great band, and Timmy Taylor was a great singer. His inimitable vocal styling could frighten the audience supposedly like a lighting bolt to the head, but he also could sing softly in falsetto, bel canto, with a voice that sounded crystal clear even when mixed over fuzz bass, samples of distorted squalls, and cascades of white noise.
If you haven't heard of this band, I'd definitely recommend checking them out. I know there's a solid McLusky fan base here. I've heard Brainiac compared to McLusky before - personally, I think Brainiac beats McLusky by a long shot. It's extremely well-arranged, insane, beautiful, melodic, and insurmountably energetic. Rock 'n' roll at its finest. |

Well I am gonna check them out for two reasons. One they have been compared to McLusky, and two because my friend is called Timmy Taylor.
You can imagine that this topic intrigued me when I saw it.
Thank you, favourite food. Ice Cream really does keep on giving.
