Ever since I became an active forum member I have often wondered exactly
how well do you all know each other. The history and constant communication you all have had have made this forum what it is. How far back do you guys go? Do some of you know each other from High school?
Have any of you been to a FB show together? Who won that private backstage FB contest?(that one with Dean and Brian at Canada) I wonder, wonder...

I slept with over half the members of this site back in '03...of course, most of those members are no longer FB.Netters, so I can't prove it. God, I itch.

Just to clarify because there seemed to be some confusion, cheeseman, you can call me betty, Simone is my housemate. So that's how I know the great goon too well.

Idiot.

Yeah, how is he doing? I spoke to him on October 9th, 2006, to talk to him a bit about So Divided, and he seemed all right.

i heard that floop "hooked up" with the song oracle.

i've been pleasantly surprised with everyone i've met in person. as broken face once told me, "there's so many really nice people on this message board." i've met people on the board on 4 different occasions.

i've met qris, crispy water, dean, broken face, speedie, and czar. all super nice and super cool people. i was supposed to meet daisy one time in minni but the band that we were going to see cancelled the day before. we did speak on the phone...she was very sweet.

i would love to see a frank black show someday with oldmaninacoffeecan and fbc.

Like I have said, if Black comes to my town again all fb.net forumers all welcome to make the trek and take shelter just like frog in the sand did for his peeps(or someone else I can't remember).

All FB shows here in my hometown have been amazing (4-total 2 showed 1 was canceled).

One person that I met on the forum became a good friend. We did the last radio show together. Even though he moved out of the area we still keep in touch and he has plans to move back to the area in the next year or so... cool.

I have chatted online or exchanged emails/info with so many people I can't count. All have been very cool. I would say that I chatted online with more people during the Pixie reunion days and it has really slowed down a bit but I enjoy keeping touch from time to time with emails, keeping tabs on the forum and sending out my boring holiday e card to those I have email addresses for. (For those who I don't have email addresses for, consider yourselves lucky).

Also, I have met a lot of people in person on line through the forum. Mostly during the Pixies days and everyone has been very cool. I would guess I have met about 20 people or so in person.

I also know if I were to travel some more, I would definitely have someone I would love to look up pretty much in any country I would visit.

I haven't met a fan I didn't like!

It surprised me to meet people after meeting them on line how kind, cool and normal everyone is.
My only regret is I never did meet the realist or passion of el diablo if you all remember that stupid thread about his quiz. Those were funny memories.

Oh and if any of you get the chance to meet Surfer, do so. She's a top girl. I have also met Kitty, who is also really nice. Much nicer than she is on the forum ; )

The last person I met was Dean, who stayed at my flat one night during his trip around Europe. He's a very nice guy, even if he can't drink.

Apart from the London meet-up lot, the are the only other people I have met. I have chatted to floop on the phone though.

I'd walk her everyday, into a shady place

I had the pleasure and privilege to give shelter to Mr. Dean in June '05, and also to hunt moose, caribou and maple syrup with Mrs Kathryn in Vermont a couple of months later. God bless 'em.

I'll meet Mr. Franck "Jediroller" P. for the first time in June, but we've been virtual amigos for years. Also, with a little luck I should meet Mr. Mickey "Cassandra" D. next week.

Who ever lives around the southwestern US and wants to trek to a FB show in the future let me know. It would be awesome to go with a forum member(s). I live in Texas and am willing to drive out of state if necessary to see the man. If he comes to my town and you can plan to come you may crash at my house. Don't worry I am mentally stable.
I'll even feed you.

Well I do still rate them as 2 of my best day/nights/weekends I have had! It was a good laugh and they are all such sweet guys, so yeah, pretty fantastic!!!

Neither did I.

Number of members met by me = a big fat zilch! I've been in the same building as a few but no hellos or goodbyes or beers. Yet.

I know Joey Joe Jo Jr. Chabadoo since I met him at a Frank Black and The Catholics gig back in 2001. I hope I will be able to see him again on the upcoming FB tour.
I hope I will be able to meet Frog In The Sand next week in his town.

As mentioned before, I met benji, mike, simon and simon (hpm, bumble + cheeseman) in london. Not even sure why, but I remember getting far far too drunk and simon getting us kicked out of a club, lol. Oh and a hat, and pics down my top.
Then I believe I went to manc, met up with simon and mike, got drunk again.

I'd like to add to the previous that there was only me who got chucked out, the rest followed (and I'm glad they did!) and I shouldn't have been chucked out in the first place, I was just sat down drinking a glass of water next to some guy who was even more wasted than me... I saw Mel at the Camden Crawl too! This *is* a fun thread. More FB.net meetups!
