I think I like the Fratellis. I don't know a thing about them except that I like every song I've heard by them (5 songs). 'Chelsea Dagger' was the first song of theirs that I heard.

This music is fun!

I still like them, but that song on the album that goes "La la la la la la la la" (you know the one) is extremely annoying.

"The arc of triumph"

Yah, agree exactly. Thought it was great for a few days - immediately catchy, but doesn't stand the test of time, not much more than a week or so. I don;t know that they annoy me, but gimmick music only works a could times.

Except for "Weird" Al Yankovic. That "Gump" song still cracks me up every time.

I started this thread back in April. I agree that some of the songs were kind of catchy at
first but now they annoy me.

It's one of those immediately likable albums that becomes old pretty quickly. Good to put on at a party or something.

I really liked the energy at first and there are some funny lyrics, but after about a week...eh.

As far as live at the Police show, they were about a mile away and got about 3 slots on the sound board, so they sounded pretty shitty. If I hadn't bought the album first and knew the songs, I probably would have just ignored them like everyone else. One comment I heard: "this band suck so bad I'm going to go have to get a beer". As in, he would rather stand in the 30 minute long beer line than have to listen to it.

The production of the album sucks. A few good tunes, but they get annoying fast.

hey! i like "whistle for the choir".
the first few songs off costello music are good but most of the songs at the end kinda suck.
okay really suck.
but i do like henrietta, chelsea dagger, and a few others.

One of my new neighbours was playing some music REALLY loud the other day, but I thought to myself, "this sounds pretty good, I might ask then who it is".

I recognised the next song though as The Fratellis, and nearly spewed in my mouth. They're crap, though it seems they do have one song that is good on the first listen.

That slow one they released is one of the worst songs I have ever heard. They look annoying too.

I like them. I think Henrietta is my favourite song. The album doesn't quite catch the attention as much as a few single tracks do, but it's still really enjoyable, for me at least.

Never heard them, but they're opening for the Police - I'll report back after the show.

Idiot.

Oh, okay.

Resist. I'm incredibly biased because I've been forced to listen to Chelsea Dagger every day at work for the last couple of months. But I do think they're very much a throwaway indie pop band akin to most that this country is spouting at the moment.
