Not really certain how widely exposed this group is yet. They're one of the only new bands I've heard in the last few years that I think it really worth a shit. They've got the most energetic guitars and proper balance between harsh and pretty that I've heard since Thinking Fellers Union Local 282. Literacy Test isn't the best starting point (even though it is the first track on the album). Actually, the album kind of has to be heard as a whole. It's roughly half an hour of people banging the fuck out of their guitars and screaming, but with melody strewn all about the place, hidden hooks and whatnot. A truly beautiful record.

Can we have a moratorium on bands with "Fucking" or "Fuck" in their names now? I think the word has been exhausted, band name wise. It just comes off as really lame to me. Not that I would completely dismiss them for having what I deem to be a bad band name, but it certainly affects my first impression (though that can be over come, look at Broken Social Scene).

I have heard of them before, but never anything about them. Based on your gush and a couple of the clips on their myspace page, I'm interested. Will have to check out more of their stuff when I get home.
