Prelude:
Who will finaly make it to the first round?

For our foreign friends, to compete for being President, you must have 500 signatures from mayors or deputees. For the small candidates it's hard task even if we have 36 000 towns...
If favorites and moderates like Sarkozy, Royal, and Bayrou and some other small but classic candidates (Buffet, Laguillier, both a diferent variety of communists) already have their signatures, others have dificulties:

Jean Marie Le Pen: Far Right Extremist, finalist in 2002
Jose Bove: Famous anti globalisation activist
Olivier Besancenot: Hardcore left postman
Philippe de Villier: Soft nationalist
Dominique Voynet: Green party
Cindy Lee: ¨Pleasure party
Rachid Nekaz: unknown opportunist
Nicolas Dupont-Aignan: moderate right wing nationalist
Roland Castro: Urban Architecture and leftism
...
******************************************************

My vote goes for Le Pen, Besancenot, Voynet and Rachid Nekaz.

"Harcore left postman"... You make it sound like a mix between Henry Rollins and Kevin Costner.

I saw José Bové this morning walking with his friends in the street. They were asking themselves where they could go to lunch.

His moustache is bigger than it seems on television (yeah, I know it's hard to believe).

De Villiers is definitely not soft, except in the head.

Bové will probably not be able to get the signatures, Besancenot might also not make it. (Although he could use his job to get them: "Sign here please Mr. Mayor...") Unless Sarkozy, hoping to drain votes from the Socialists, decides to help them get the signatures, just as he's going to do for Le Pen.

Are you sure that De Villers can be considered as a "Soft nationalist"?
To me, he is as extremist as Le Pen.
