Last night I saw a documentary called The Healing Power of Sacred Art, about this painter. I know of him because he designed records Tool, though some of my friends knew the record sleeves just by him. He was talking about studies of weakening of people´s immune system after viewing traumatic pieces of art like The Exorcist, so he felt naturally things can go the other way too and make people feel more healthy, spontaneous and at one with their environment and other people.

I think stuff like this supports hypotheses unlying neurotheology. You know, "the God Gene". Faith is definitely efficacious, meaning it is biological as opposed to metaphysically sound.
