The Lexmark site says they will have drivers available for that printer on April 30.

I was going to suggest that you try a generic driver, but if it can wait a week!

For the music download, awestruck, I would advise downloading iTunes. Those aiff files will play in iTunes.

Please pardon me, for these my wrongs.

No not that I can tell. it is a X2250 modal. I have had it a couple of years. it isn't even on the website anymore.

What model of Lexmark, does it say "postscript" or PS anywhere?
awestruck Posted - 04/27/2007 : 18:35:59
a certain music download that everyone is all buzzing about. With that said. I have a lexmark printer. When I bought my laptop the salesperson said I would have to contact Lexark and ask them for a new updated disc to install. I thought that it shouldn't be long before a printer would be out that would be compatible.

So, my desktop crashed on me during mid semester. it had xp. I bought a laptop that has vista. I cant use my printer with it because it isn't compatible with Vista and every time I try to open music files, they will not open. I have tried using windows media, realplayer, and yahoo music jukebox. Anyone experience this? they all say it doesn't have the software to play that type of extension. Any suggestions?

I had a chance to get some hands-on with vista today.
It went:
30 seconds in: “Hm! new sounds”
1 minute in: “Hey, a cpu clock and the local temperature on the desktop”
1minute and 30 seconds in: “…”
1 minute and 35 seconds in: “I guess ‘the wow’ started and stopped there. Cos I‘m all wowed out”
1 minute and 47 seconds in: “I hope Kiefer Sutherland calls it quits after season 6”

i'm a cheapskate too. i have this high-quality, expensive, stylish boxes at work where we have linux too. suse, that is. i'm curious how solaris will end. in the long run, i think it will be outbattled by linux. sun is already equipping its x86 machines with linux and offers even windows. solaris 10 and open solaris is their last effort in that direction, i think. it must be extremely expensive to develop and maintain such a huge and powerful OS and if it doesn't sell that well, they will drop it.
no doubt that linux will be the next windows (in terms of popularity).

i don't know much of unix either, i just think that solaris is a very stable and professional os. it is of no use for the normal user, but you can't beat it in multi-user environments with heavy work load. and as for sun's hardware, it surely is expensive, but again, it just keeps on working for years and years.

No, Vista is cool. It has this new featured called "gadgets" and... wait hang on.... oh, I just hit F12 on my Mac and remembered that is not a new feature at all. Well, I guess it is "new" to Windows.

It's funny how big of a deal some people are making about Vista, when Apple is already releasing Leopard this year and it seems like they just released Tiger a couple years ago. How long did it take Vista to come out? And I'm sure there will be better updates and features from Tiger to Leopard than from XP to Vista.

Speaking of Microsoft, I wonder when the Zune will die out. I saw a hilarious ticker on CNN once saying "Microsoft announces it will add games to the Zune in 2008." 2008?!!

Bill Gates is the least threatening billionaire ever. Use your wealth for EVIL you lame-ass!
Build a lair and laugh devilishly in it! Just put away the cardigans!

Anyway, Vista is basically XP with a graphical interface.

Foiled again Billy-boy.
