Posted - 11/23/2006 : 21:58:25 hey guys, i went and saw this last week-end and i just wanted to strongly recommend anybody in an area that is showing one to check it out. these ar actual donated human bodies with the skin removed and the inners all plastinated! it appears that they have 3 exhibitions going simultaneously and they move every four or five months. heres a link to check if they are in your area. http://www.bodyworlds.com/index.html
soooooooo neat!
The waxworks were an immensely eloquent dissertation on the wonderful ordinariness of mankind. |

I thought it had been to London. I remember really wanting to see it.
I'd walk her everyday, into a shady place

Posted - 11/25/2006 : 07:46:19 I saw it in Berlin in 2001, I found it interesting. saw it in London again with my mother and brother, though the chemical smell of the place made my mother feel sick. Too, I heard there was some iffyness about where he got his exhibits, some of them had tattos led to suspicion they came from Russian prisons.

Posted - 11/25/2006 : 00:14:10 i saw it in london about 4 years ago. was blown away with it. then saw it again in perth, australia a few months ago and was quite disappointed. so many of the exhibits had aged very very badly and had faded (especially the red veins annd muscles) and bits had fallen off and lots of other things. the people who i went with who hadn't seen it before were amazed, but i was dissappointed because i knew how much better it had been a few years ago.

Yeah, I noticed that too! Gunther Von Hagen did a series on Channel 4 where he performed real autopsies in fornt of an audience. I believe he did his best friend's autopsy!

Posted - 11/24/2006 : 07:06:44 I went to it in LA two years ago and enjoyed it. It's nothing like watching an autopsy but it could be a little freaky for the squeamish.
