Hi everyone,

I thought this might interest some of you. It's a test to see how tone deaf you are.

http://jakemandell.com/tonedeaf/

I got 80.6%. As drummer that must be a good score!!

I got the same score as the acorahs, PixieSteve, and edbanky. 83.3% correct. At one point, I got really distracted and forgot what the first one sounded like - who knows, maybe I could have done better if the circumstances were different. I would like to have done better.

83.3% Which I am surprised about, I expected much worse

88.9% tone deafness, 96% rhythm, 1.05Hz pitch - but i'm blaming the headphones for that last one... and the parents for the missing 4 and 11.1

I am just searching through some of the older threads (because I am through with spring 07 semester...woohoo!) and this one was fun so I wanted to comment so others can enjoy it.

my score was 64.4 I knew I was tone deaf. too many ear infections as a child. I agree some of the tunes are long. This is why I zoned out on a couple of the choices. it was fun anyway.

80.6 too. Much more than I expected. I suppose I'm ready to join Asterid.

I also got 80.6. I don't think the test is completely fair, but whatever. It's an internet test, after all...

I definitely have better taste than you. Hear that everybody? Better taste than him.

Hey who are you? You don't even know me...or my musical taste...wanna fight about it

You what? Oh, I'd forgotten about this.

I think musical taste and note-recognition are two different things. I still have the best musical taste on earth, I just hear it differently to you.

I always misspell 'disappointed'. I even misspell 'misspell'. The funny thing was you and your "best musical taste on earth" or whatever you said

72.2%.

The site says that's normal, but then it also says that I'm only in 32nd percentile (meaning that 68% of people who take the test do better than me).

I already know I'm colorblind. Now possibly tone deaf.

That may be so Newo but what's important here is that I successfully avoided work for a whole ten minutes whilst taking the test.
