Holy shit, I wish in lived in one of these four cities. One of my favourite bands from the 90s. God I hope they record again... Got the news from Pitchfork:

It's a day for exclamations on Pitchforkmedia, and a day for the indie rock titans of yesteryear to return and show the kids how it's done. We've got Gang of Four talking their new record, Pixies planning to record new material, and now, Chavez-- who just hit us with the stellar, 9.4-rated, Matador Records-stamped collection Better Days Will Haunt You-- have announced a spate of reunion shows.

According to Matador, the original lineup of Matt Sweeney (vocals/guitar), Clay Tarver (guitar), Scott Masciarelli (bass), and "The" James Lo (drums)-- who haven't recorded anything since 1996's Ride the Fader-- will join forces once again to rock faces off at four December gigs, with a few more to be announced. Can new material be far behind?

For now, if you don't live in Baltimore, Brooklyn, San Francisco, or Chicago, feel free to gaze upon those cities and their citizens with green eyes. Then cross your fingers and stay tuned for the latest updates.

Say yes to Chavez:

12-02 Baltimore, MD - Ottobar *
12-09 Chicago, IL - TBA
12-16 Brooklyn, NY - Warsaw *
12-30 San Francisco, CA - Slim's

* with Endless Boogie

maybe I'll kick it

Quit rubbing it in my face!! :)

I do really love the opening song to Ride the Fader but otherwise the album never really made a mark on me. Still, I can see how someone would love it so definitely worth a check out.

"Now you're officially my woman. Kudos. I can't say I don't envy you."

The bar is in another room, so i'd only be annoying the drop-dead gorgeous, bi-lingual, (English/Polish) friendly bar maids there...

You could go to the show, stand at the bar and talk loudly during the whole gig...

Pitchfork is down.

I'd walk her everyday, into a shady place

Check out the pitchfork article, there are two links to free mp3's. Then go buy "Ride the Fader". I love this band.
