Posted - 09/21/2006 : 07:33:16 Happy 72nd birthday, L. Cohen. Is there a cooler man alive? I'm listening to all of his albums today, and despite some of the cheesy instruments he's used (synthesizers, Jew's harp), his songs really stand the test of time.

Posted - 10/03/2006 : 07:39:21 Just really got into him in the last weeks. He's written some of the coolest lyrics I've found in music.

Posted - 09/21/2006 : 09:58:23 Who By Fire is indeed a classic, as are many of his songs. For me, Famous Blue Raincoat is the apex of great songwriting. I could listen to that song a thousand times in a row and not tire of it. I also love Hallelujah, but I'm just about getting sick of it, especially with the Jeff Buckley version being so popular. I've always liked my Leonard Cohen to be lesser-known.
