Posted - 09/14/2006 : 15:40:26 also known as CSS, has anyone heard anything by them? they are brilliant Brazilian pop/rock/dance mainly female band. They have even stopped me listening to fastman raiderman in the past few weeks. Moreover they are lots of fun live, saw them at manchester roadhouse the other week, and it was a wonderfully sweaty and enjoyable show, and had a nice long chat with them afterwards, and they are suitably lovely
here is some of their videos for you to check out

Posted - 09/15/2006 : 09:45:46 Denis, I don't think you'd like them.
I love Let's Make Love And Listen To Death From Above, but I haven't heard anything else by them yet. I nearly went to the very same gig as you acorahs, but they are touring again in November so I may catch them then.
I am at the Roadhouse tomorrow actually to see Love Is All.
P.S - One the guitarists in CSS is stunning. The singer isn't bad either.
I'd walk her everyday, into a shady place

Posted - 09/15/2006 : 06:27:24 most songs are sung in english, but some times they slip into portugese. Moreover, because english is not their primary language the lyrics are kind of skewed and a little bit wrong, which, to me at least, adds to the charm.

Posted - 09/15/2006 : 01:26:32 Do they sing in portuguese or english? I keep hearing about them everywhere, but I have a very bad opinion of rock bands from Latin America and Spain in general (see: Panico from Chile, Titan from Mexico, every band from Spain. I hate them all (sorry whore!)). But things I've read about CSS were very enthusiastic so I'll check out your links. Thanks.
