Posted - 05/16/2007 : 18:26:45 I saw it and I enjoyed it. There were cool action scenes, some funny comedy bits, and the movie never really slowed down enough for you to get bored or focus on the absurdity of the premise. Really, its a rental, but a good rental.

Posted - 02/19/2007 : 15:14:22 Dear editor,
Whilst I was attending comedic thespian Simon Pegg’s latest laugh riot feature “Hot Fuzz” the other night, I overheard something of interest. I was in line at the box office. There were several young fellows in front of me, purchasing tickets for their film fancy. One of the young men peered around the lobby, and a TMNT standee caught his eye. T’was an admiral standee. Dark, but striking. He turned to his party and professed: “That looks gay”, upon which they all agreed. Dear editor, has the TMNT lost its mainstream appeal?
Yours protractedly, Master Splinters Victorian Cousin

Posted - 07/24/2006 : 12:57:27 He had a group called the Truth Movement and then an album called Former Child Actor where he really stuck it to Hollywood for keepin him down all these years. Apparently he should have gotten some really juicy film roles but it never happened because the "system" shunned him or something like that.

Posted - 07/22/2006 : 13:43:10 Here's something i didn't know: "According to an IGN report, the game and film will be based on the original comics by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, which confirms that they will be rather dark compared to the light-hearted 80's cartoon series. The comic books which were first published in 1984 was originally intended to be a parody of the New Mutants and daredevil comics."
Anyone know how "dark" the original comics were? To me, a franchise doesn't evolve to the "dark" status till the add swearing and don't do quick cut-aways whenever there's blood onscreen. Maybe they could do a Sin-City-meets-animated-80's TMNT. That's something for all the family.
[edit] From Wiki: "In keeping with their parody of "grim 'n gritty" comics of the early 1980's, the Turtles engaged in a greater amount of overt violence in the pages of the early Mirage comic book series. As the TMNT were introduced into the mainstream, they were radically redesigned for a younger audience. This evolution incensed a core group of fans who had faithfully collected the independently-published comic series from its inception. They accused Eastman and Laird of selling out their indie roots in favor of corporate greed."
