Posted - 06/16/2006 : 15:12:38 Yeah, Google is actually an accidental misspelling of googol. Of course, the former is seen far more often these days than the latter.

Posted - 06/16/2006 : 09:06:14 google is a really big number isn't it like a trillion billion million or something akin to that.
[EDIT] I'm actually thinking of "googol" (a number with 100 zeros)

Posted - 06/16/2006 : 08:54:40 Some people just have their TV sets on all the time, whether they're watching them or not. I've always found that a little weird.
I really can't imagine why anyone would want this product, but hey, if some people WANT their background noise monitored, that's fine with me.

Posted - 06/16/2006 : 08:07:29 It's funny that the underlying premise of this is that television is so boring that you don't even need to watch/listen to it, you just want it on so you can read/discuss with other people. I don't watch tv aside from a few select shows I download/have on DVD and of course hockey, but if you find it so uninteresting that you want to surf the net at the same time or do something else, why not just turn off the tv altogether? Why would you surf and watch?
