Ive been looking for a place with these three other girls, but its all fallen apart due to various illnesses etc...(not mine, i might add!)
So, if anyone is living in London, and needs a flatmate to move in this month...or know of anyone that does, I am your woman.
As long as i can get to work withing an hour (Holborn), I dont mind where in london....I can move in right away. I get kicked out of my current place on 12th June.
You cant see a fellow FB fan out on the streets now can you? Help me please!!!

Posted - 06/03/2006 : 08:00:36 I can't! For all the nonsense that has happened over the last eight months or so I'm really happy where I'm living and with who I live with. Plus, we just planted tomatoes. I can't abandon them.
Think of the hanging baskets, for the love of all things good and glittery won't somebody think of the hanging baskets!?

£40!!!!!!!!!!? Even that would not make me want to live in australia though!!

Posted - 06/02/2006 : 03:31:08 The rent for this place isnt' too bad, not as great as the last place, it's still pretty reasonable. It's a small house though in an area I couldn't imagine living in till I moved here.
Mike, when I first moved here I moved in with a guy I knew from university, an old good friend. As soon as the Italians went crazy I went to get representation so we couldn't legally be booted out before christmas. While I was gone he put all of his stuff in a taxi and left. I got back to find his key on the table and his room empty and in a state for which I got a lot of earache and threats. He sent me a message to tel the Italians to go whistle for the money they (unresonably) demanded (for things we didn't break, for bills we'd already paid, the deposit we wouldn't give them until they provided a contract) and asked that I wouldn't pass his number to them. I told him I wouldn't give them his number and as far as I was concerned I didn't have his number because I didn't want to know him anymore. Thanks to him I had two days to pack and organise getting my stuff out and lost a lot of money, nearly all my clothes and whatever belongings I couldn't carry.
The second moving was nothing to do with the folks I as living with, they're great (well, mostly), but the estate agents. They screwed us over big style. Told us we had to move because of damp in the roof then moved in a bunch of other people as soon as we left.
And vovat, I'm never moving ever, I like my housemates even when they call me names like filthy ho.

Posted - 06/02/2006 : 03:08:03 well considering the 3-5 months of 40+ degree temps, air con is kinda essential....and during summer, water from the "cold" tap burns.... but we don't pay for those things cause the company i work for does, or else no-one would work in this godforsaken land...
simon, don't get me started....
i was trying to put a positive spin on living in the desert....

Posted - 06/01/2006 : 06:07:55 it is bizarre how it seems that everyone whi lives in london is a weirdo, yet you meet quite a number of very normal people. obviously the normal people already have somewhere to live.
when we were living there we only ever tried to find a flatmate once. that worked out very badly (tho not as badly as for you guys it seems) so we just ended up living by ourselves...of course we had to move to woolwich and become good at dodging bullets to be able to afford living by ourselves, but it was certainly good fun.

Posted - 06/01/2006 : 06:02:17 Er, I moved here in October, left a week before christmas thanks to lunatic italians with illegal evictons, getting totally screwed over by an old friend, demands for money and three days of solid fighting with a substantial loss of my belongings, moved back in february thanks to a kind soul, got shafted by the estate agents and moved again a month ago and now never moving ever. We've done gardening, I have hanging baskets, never moving ever.

Posted - 06/01/2006 : 05:32:35 You're in london Tre?! When did that happen? I miss all the news!
Yeah, flatmates in london - fun fun fun. I have been living with two pot heads who dnt come out of their room (and they are now a couple). They also dont clean, and only eat things with cheese and tomato on.
Then we have the thief. Not just a thief, a lying dirty scumbag.
Then the forgein guy, who keeps putting milk laying down on his shelf, so it drips on to my food below. Also blood from meat all over my stuff.
They are all fucking psychos. And then i went to see a place yesterday - and the guy who lived there was so so so freaky. And kept asking to take me out for dinner. creep.
Fun.

Posted - 06/01/2006 : 04:56:40 Interesting? certainly. Good interesting... not always. I'm very lucky as one of my housemates is only one of the above and the other is australian. It could be a lot worse. That this is my third London house since October though is very telling.

Posted - 06/01/2006 : 04:53:15 Haha, I had a feeling that was the reason. Well you probably have a lot more interesting people living there than anywhere else in England. You have to have a down side to that.
