Has anyone ever done this? I've been thinking about some things I'd really like to do. I think I'd like new tile in the hallway, I'm debating about that or some kind of hasslefree carpet. I think I need some new screens in a couple of the windows. I defintely need to touch up the trim in the bathroom, I was also thinking of a new facet head. So if you have any ideas you want to share I think it would be cool to get a discussion going.

Maybe post a couple pics so we can see the things you wish to improve on. Over the last 5 years we've pretty much redone the whole house.

Do you mean tile floors in the hallway? If so, use porcelin. It's harder than carpet to install, but virtually unbreakable and maintianance free (other than sweeping). I am currently doing a very dark grey porcelin in my kitchen. NOT ceramic, but porcelin.

Sorry about that Andy, I got drunk and for some reason thought I should delete it. I was wondering what do you have in your basement. Entertainment system, pool table, bar, golf clubs? Do you keep your guitar stuff down there?

We're planning on remodeling ours hopefully in the next year.

Hey, Marhta Promise, where did your post go? I was going to respond to it but now I can't remember exactly you said?

Instead of carpet, have you ever thought of lino? It's extremely hard wearing and easily cleaned - simple to remove blood and such. What's more, nowadays the designs are much more exciting and flexible - I'm sure you'd find a style to match your colour scheme and needs. Just a thought, lino is often overlooked in these parquet hungry days.

LBF, what are you going to do with the people tied up in your basement? Will you release them or remodel around them?

Does anyone remember laughter?
