I was just watching a documentary on Disc 2 of Star Wars: Episode 3 (Revenge of the Sith) and they were talking about creating sounds and soundscapes for the movie, and while I don't have any framegrabbing software, if you go to 1:07:53 in the movie and freeze, you will see, among sound effects for mammals, metal creaking, moving, being hit, music tones, and rock, a folder called Pixies.
Is it possible that something from their music was used in the movies? Ben doesn't seem like the type to be a Pixies fan, though I'm sure that given their spacey stuff that probably there are fans at the ranch somewhere.
Anyway, was kind of awed/odd to see that there.

Well, I considered that, but really, what sound reminds you of a pixie? Do people use that word often? I would probably say fairies or elves or something like that.
But as you say, if's probably the more likely scenario.

I am inclined to think that it refers more to a sound effect that resembles/reminds him of pixies
but who knows? could be.

it could be that they have Pixies in their overall music library, with other bands, but didn't use any in the film

Possible, I have no idea. But very intriguing to me. It's listed under a folder called music tones and another called rock so it seems entirely possible...

That'd be cool if, for some reason, they had some Pixies souns on file!! Maybe it meant, er, just 'ordinary' mytholical pixies?!
