Just in the interest of fairness, there is quite a bit of backend stuff that Dave does do that you guys don't really get to see. Most recently this was working with the guy hosting frankblack.net to get a subdomain FROM Fb.net pointing at a different domain/directory entirely which I still have no clue how they were able to do it, but it means that we can host the podcasts and do other future stuff with our new server while still using frankblack.net as the site. Just an example.

i don't see why we can't have a frank discussion about this. i really don't appreciate this guy coming on here and implying that i'm a sexist and a bigot when he doesn't know me. how is that cool? that's a whole other discussion though...
what i really don't understand is why Dave even bothers being here any more. clearly he has no interest in it and, if anything, it seems like it makes his life more difficult (dealing with all the sexist bigot forum members). it would be great to see the site owned by people who actually care about it - which, clearly there are lots of people here who do (ie. the current mods, who actually do stuff). i guess it's a question for Dave: why do you still bother with this site? do you still find it rewarding?

I appreciate all of you being cool headed because I know this is very contentious and has gotten personal.
I don't see the value of this having been brought up again, especially in such a hostile way. I continue to toss around the idea of locking this but really sitting on the fence.

Dave, I'm curious what you mean that I wanted to "do whatever I want"? I never even posted photos to that "beautiful women" thread. I probably looked at the thread five times before all the BS started last summer. If I wanted to look at T&A, the Frank Black Forum would be the last place I'd go to find it. What sacred boundaries have I ever pushed on this forum? The only thing I ever tried to do here is contribute my own opinions and observations and hope people have a enough sense of humor to laugh at themselves (but that's something I don't expect of you). IMO the only time I've ever got into an uncivil argument with another forum member was with MissMaceo and I thought we had patched that up.
What do you want me to do Dave? Do you want to browbeat me some more? IMHO your post to me once again demonstrated that you are a condescending, judgmental know-it-all who offers little respect for other people. I think you should take a break from the animal rights movement and work on your people skills for a while. |

well, I was just discovering this place during said 'watershed event' and that was not my intention. it just so happened that I'd already posted lots of pics of hotness elsewhere and it was easy to paste it here and I had fun in the process (as did a few others).

anyway, this topic gets brought up here about as often as I stop by and I find it intriguing. most boards have a thread like that, it runs it's course, and then is visited just now and again for fun.
