Sometimes you just have to don't you?

We all know that 12 is the accepted number of tracks for the ideal album: select those to which you rock out.

1) The Fall - Mr Pharmacist
2) The Saints - This Perfect Day
3) 50 Foot Wave - Clara Bow
4) Stavesacre - Minuteman
5) Leatherface - Boogie On Down
6) Groop Dogdrill - Best Sex In Texas
7) Metallica - Enter Sandman
8) Kyuss - Thumb
9) Mogwai - Ratts Of The Capital
10) Pixies - Planet Of Sound
11) Rock From The Crypt - Born In '69
12) The Wildhearts - Caffeine Bomb

Metallica played Master In Puppets (the album, I mean) IN IT'S ENTERITY in Dublin (and I'm sure at the other dates of their Escape From The Studio tour) a coupla weeks ago. 'Cos it's the 20th anniversary of MOP. I woulda liked to have seen that.

Lemmy's main wart is radioactive.

Talking of ROCK, I went to see the Foo Fighters in Hyde Park at the weekend. Motorhead played, Queens of the Stone Age played, Brian May and Roger Taylor played, Lemmy sang that Probot song with the Foo Fighters. I'm still recovering from all the rock.

I also left with what looks like sunburn, though I think it may have had something to do with prolonged exposure to Lemmy.

Sure, you can rock out to Ben Folds. Check out Weird Al Yankovich's "Why Does This Always Happen To Me" from the Poodle Hat record. Great original song featuring Ben Folds.

Strange, I didn't know one could rock out to Ben Folds Five! Usually when they try to rock out it's very tongue-in-cheek (like "For Those of Y'all That Wear Fanny Packs")

Blimey, I just saw that I didn't put Search & Destroy. What was I thinking? That has to be on there.

Yeah, yer right. I don't even own that record, but that song just makes me go nuts. I also didn't quite get to 12 rock out songs. Can I add another? Perhaps Shattered by the Stones.

I agree with Carbon Monoxide not being the best song on that record too. It's just that I can't sit still when it's on. Making it a legit "rock out" song.
mr.biscuitdoughhead Posted - 06/22/2006 : 09:50:48
The Metallica song is "Seek and Destroy" isn't it? "Search and Destroy" is an Iggy Pop song, right?
Carbon Monoxide is a sweet song. Probably the 3rd best song on Pressure Chief after Wheels and Dime.

I'm kind of thinking I should've put Search & Destory on there somewhere, as that's scientifically the essence of rock.

Or these guys: http://www.beatallica.org/beatallica.html
