Posted - 02/20/2006 : 14:30:29 Ever traded up any records at the local record shop for cash or other music that you wish you had back now? Here's some off the top of my head.
Ministry - Psalm 69 (thought it was too repetetive but nevertheless this album kicks your ass, Jesus Built my Hotrod is worth the price alone)
Frank Sinatra - In the Wee Small Hours (I still probably wouldn't like listening to this but I had the original realease on vinyl and have since found out it's a collectible. I think I got like a buck for it.
Leonard Cohen - I'm Your Man (before I realized you don't always have to take music seriously) |

I love Guitar Wolf from the Erath!
I predict that Moby will take the place of Enya in ten or so years.

I seriously doubt that.
There is no way I will be masturbating to pictures of Moby in ten years time. It would be like masturbating in front of a mirror.
Hmmmmm, well it IS my birthday in a couple of days........

Posted - 03/07/2006 : 11:14:20 Least I could hear Enya in the street without thinking of pension plans or coffee. I sold that Moby CD when I realised I had an albums worth of jingles.

That's the best way. What you hate now you may love in ten years. Plus they never give you what your trade ins are worth (at least in my neck of the woods they don't).

Posted - 03/06/2006 : 20:59:42 I also regret selling my Nomeansno records. And I sold an Entombed record years ago, which I regreted later, but couldn't really care now. However, I'm still bothered that I sold Cathedral's Forest Of Equilibrium (to the same guy) with a gatefold sleeve. The gardner of the landlord of a house I was sharing with my brother and two friends moved away and left a load of records with us. A while ago I was up there and I discovered he had left that!

Me too.
Remig, you should miss your Elastica CD. Assuming it was their debut.

Posted - 03/06/2006 : 03:20:51 I once sold a Menswear CD. I don't regret it. I miss the Elastica I 've sold, but not that much. |

Posted - 03/06/2006 : 03:04:35 I have never ever sold a record (although I do have a couple of really crappy ones). I did trade in Trompe Le Monde and a Jerry Lee Lewis comp for the 2-CD edition of Cult of Ray. I miss the TLM CD but I have it on vinyl so it's no big deal.

Posted - 03/05/2006 : 05:39:22 I had to sell a lot of records when I was at university and it killed me, that and books. I have less than a quarter now of what I used to have. Too many to list.
Oh how miserable. |
